> Christopher Dawes
Chris is a highly experienced business copywriter. He has written web copy, brochures and corporate pitches, edited numerous marketing newsletters and a staff magazine, and has compiled writing guides and libraries of standard texts, case studies and staff biographies. He has also audited major corporate websites and even helped one client find a specialist children’s book author. Chris began his writing career in the late 1980s, spending 10 years as a senior writer and section editor at Melody Maker, before being appointed launch editor of the award-winning clubbing magazine Muzik. He spent four years at Muzik and a further two years as editor of the male lifestyle magazine Mondo. He is also the author of four published books, most notably Rat Scabies and the Holy Grail (Sceptre), which has been reprinted several times in the UK and the US, and is available in German and Russian translations.

> Mark Wernham
As a corporate copywriter, Mark has worked with clients across a broad range of sectors, including travel, transport, banking, retail and the public sector. He spent the early years of his writing career as a freelance journalist, working for a vast array of titles, including The Guardian, FHM, The Face,Icon, Mizz, 19, Future Music and Melody Maker, where he was made a senior writer and section editor during the days of Britpop. He left Melody Maker in 1999 to become deputy editor of Mondo, the male lifestyle magazine. In more recent times, Mark has worked on a number of specialist media projects, most notably editing Avid Merrion’s Book Selecta, the book of the Bo’ Selecta television series. He is also a renowned author in his own right and has written five published books, including Martin Martin’s on the Other Side (Jonathan Cape), which was shortlisted for the 2009 Arthur C Clarke Award.

> Neil Mason
Neil has worked in a variety of writing and editing capacities for a wide range of corporate clients and has held a number of key editorial positions in the magazine industry. He was a sub-editor at Muzik and the reviews editor at Melody Maker, before becoming involved in online publishing, joining nme.com as features editor in 2000. He has since managed a number of high profile online projects, including warchildmusic.com, a music download site that raised over £500,000 for the War Child charity during his editorship, and indiestore.com, a DIY download site for unsigned bands. Neil is also the co-founder and director of the online East Anglian football network myfootballwriter.com and the self-service digital ad network addiply.com. He has written extensively for Rolling Stone, Zoo, Mixmag and Yachting & Boating World, as well as being a freelance editor, researcher and writer in the book publishing industry, most notably working on both business and consumer titles for Dorling Kindersley.
